Consulting, INC. She has worked with top area businesses in
professional development services. No stranger to the Army world, Keli
grew up an Army brat
and understands the unique lifestyle of military families.
If you missed it, here are some tips for the New Year:
Make a Personal Activity Plan:
1. Identify your three accomplishments in 2009 2. Analyze what you learned from each accomplishment. 3. Identify your biggest Disappointments of 2009. 4. Analyze what you learned from each failure or disappointment 5. Identify how you limited yourself and how you can stop it 6. Review the information you have gathered. 7. Use this information to astonish yourself in 2010!
And here are all the tips we gathered from guests after the luncheon to keep you happy, motivated, energized and organized for 2010:
* Base every decision on "will this bring me closer or further away from my goals"? * Set priorities - If everything is important, nothing is important! * Don't be afraid to say NO without giving a reason * Use a time planning tool * Always carry your time planning tool with you * Make a weekly to-do list * Have EVERYONE help clean for example after dinner, that gets the job done so much faster. * Use www.flylady.net for helpful tips on organization * Making a monthly menu saves both time and money * Use different color pens to keep track of family activities ( e.g. mom-red, dad - green, children - blue, family - yellow) * Learn something new * Do what makes YOU feel better and take care of yourself! * Play and laugh * Exercise everyday * Tell your loved ones - I love you! * Be the person that your dog is! :) * Sunday night lay out kids' clothes for the week * Have kids donate toys before Christmas to make room for new ones * Use the calendar in your phone and always have it on you * Make your weekly schedule on weekends to be able to synchronize it with your husband and children * When asking time off from work, always over estimate and rather come back early than not getting enough time off
Please make sure you are aware of our reservation policy!
If you RSVP and cannot make it, you will still be asked to pay! The reason for this is that we usually order food for everyone and we will have to pick up the cost for the guests, that did not show! Since we are a non-profit organization, we do not have the appropriate funds to cover that cost.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
December Event:
On December 4th, we met for our Holiday White Elephant Bingo and Centerpiece Auction and luncheon! We had awesome donated Centerpieces and so much fun playing Bingo and stealing the gifts from each other dirty Santa style :) The food was catered from Taco del Mar and was delicious as always! Thanks to all who came out and donated centerpieces!
November Event:
Our Murder Mystery Dinner on November 19th at Pike's was our best event yet! It was a Margaritaland theme with a secret special Margarita and tropical decoration, that got everyone in the luau mood and we sure cured the "Winter Blues"! It was so much fun to get into a role and solve the murder of Jack Daniels, the bartender. Pike's catered excellent food for us off of their "South The Border"- menu.
Mary Kasales solved the mystery and won a $50 gift certificate for the Turtle Club! Sherman Baty won gift certificates for Brunch at Pike's for the best costume.
If you have not been able to join us for an event, you are missing out! :)
October event:
On October 8th, we kicked off our new year with a combined Bunco Night with our friends from Eielson at Murphy's Bar on Ft. Wainwright. Big Daddy's BBQ catered delicious food and the night was a great success and lots of fun!
